Holiday Cocktails

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Trinity chapter.
Aside from all of the delicious meals and decorating, one of the best parts about the upcoming holidays is actually getting to celebrate them with the people you love. When it comes to getting into the holiday spirit, cakes and cookies are nice, but many of us can agree that drinking is better. We at Her Campus like to kick back and enjoy some festive holiday cocktails that are sure to brighten up both your bar and your evening. Perfect for any gathering, here are some wintery recipes to get anyone into the spirit of the holidays.

1. Citrus Sangria: Everybody loves a good sangria, and that is no exception during the holidays. Here is a recipe that is easy to make, and great for when you have a large group of people to entertain.

2. The Merry Berry Christmas Cocktail: An awesome drink that can be made for children and adults (with a little extra seasoning), this cocktail combines the fabulous taste of the holidays with fresh fruit!
3. Gingerbread Martini: Nothing screams the holidays like gingerbread cookies, and now you can re-invent this classic flavor into a tasty seasonal cocktail. If you want to go the extra mile, crush up gingerbread cookies or gingerbread snaps and sprinkle the rim of your glass with them.
