Music Monday: September 9

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

It’s not technically fall yet, but with these cold mornings and breezy days, its obvious they’re coming. This week’s playlist is dedicated to fall and all its adventures it brings. Get ready to bundle up in those cozy sweaters and hoodies, attend football games, and watch the leaves change and fall. Its fall, lets get ready!

“Sweater Weather” by Neighborhood screams fall, just through its name. It’s indie influnces and notes combined with its lyrics make me want to jump into a cardigan and boots and watch the leaves fall.

“Grand Theft Autumn” by Fall Out Boy is a great throwback. Fall Out Boy rock influences are shown through this song which makes you want to get up and going.

“Forever Autumn” by Moody Blues is soft and croones about autumn and eventually, winter.

“Autumn Leaves” by Ed Sheeran was an easy pick for this playlist. His voice is perfect for any season, but this song in particular is a great representation for fall.

“Fall in Philadelphia” by Hall and Oates proves that cities can do fall right. Even though we’re not in Philadephia, we can still play this song to bring fall to Baltimore.

“Laughing at Your Plans” by Foreign Exchange has the ruggedness needed for a fall song, balancing the soft but rock tones.

“Sometimes in the Fall” by Phoneix tells all about fall and what it can bring.

“Wake Me Up When September Ends” by Green Day is a classic. Adding it to the mix makes this September playlist more full.

“What Would I Want? Sky” by Animal Collective has the air of mystery fall brings every year.

“September” by Earth, Wind & Fire is that old school, dance and get moving song that’s needed, especially when the days begin to get cold.

Although fall does not officially begin until the 22nd of Spetember, this playlist is a forewarning. The cold days are coming, but so are the great parts of it! Enjoy the warm weather while we have it, but remember fall is still great on its own! Enjoy your week ladies, and the playlist
