Campus Cutie: Corey Tolson

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

1. Where are you from?

From Waldorf, Maryland.

2. What is your major?

Majoring in Exercise science.

3. What career do you want to have? Why?

I’m pursuing a career in physical therapy. Honestly, the field of health professions relates directly to my life more than any other. I plan to do much more that involves my hobbies, Photography and Music, but PT closely relates to my passions in life.

4. Where do you see yourself in 5 yrs?

I anticipate having received my bachelors and moved on from Towson to be on the closing end of PT school.

5 years would possibly beginning translate to me beginning my PT residency process, taking various GRE’s for licensers.  Basically, I will be fresh out of grad school and working towards starting my career.

5. What are your short-term goals?

Currently, a few of my short-term goals are to land a solid internship within my major/field, expand upon my Photography platform (purchase new equipment, increase my network/reach), and to just continue to do my best.

6. What are your long-term goals?

Long term, I would definitely say to graduate with at least a 3.5 average, find the school/PT program I will pursue, and I guess leave a positive impression on the individuals I’ve met.

7. What do you like most about yourself?

I don’t like to glorify myself, but if there was one quality about myself that I like most, it’d definitely have to be humility. I have to thank my family for raising me right, but my father and grandfather set a great example for me in regards to remaining humble and selfless.

8. Are you single?

Yes.

9. What is your ideal first date?

The Ideal first date would definitely have to be visiting a spontaneous location like a museum or activity like an escape room. Dinner to finish the night off.

10. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

Currently, the two places that I plan on traveling to ASAP are Tokyo, Japan, and Toronto, Canada. Why? Tokyo is just an all around beautiful place and it’s so contrasting to America. The possibility for photography there would be stellar. Toronto just seems like it’d be a cool experience.
