Get to know this week’s Campus Celebrity, Saidat Sanwoola!
1. What do you do?
Saidat is a sophomore who is majoring in International Business with a minor in French. She is a Senator in the Student Government Association and a member of Mock Trial.
2. When did you start doing it?
She began SGA and Mock Trial at the beginning of her sophomore year.
3. What sparked your interest in this activity?
Her whole interest in SGA began when she learned about SGA’s mission which is to serve and advocate for the entire student body.
4. How can someone else get involved with this?
Come to the SGA office and e-mail any SGA officer about your concerns is a great way to get involved.
5. What tips do you have for people who want to do what you do? (if applicable)
Saidat recommends becoming more involved on campus, learning about your fellow Towson students, and gaining more experience with leadership.
6. How has this created connections for you personally and academically?
Personally, she got to meet many wonderful people who have the same passion and drive as she does. Academically, SGA gave her access to numerous amounts of faculty on campus.
7. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
She hopes to be in Law School in 5 years.
8. What do you want people to take away from this interview?
“Take advantage of all the resources Towson has to offer. If there’s a particular resource you want to see that Towson does not have, you as a student have the opportunity to make available for future students to come.”
