Jesus Villarreal, 2016

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Texas chapter.

Jesus is really fun to be around because he is funny and outgoing and it’s always fun to look at his cute outfits! We asked him a few questions about the holiday season.

Hometown: born and raised in Brownsville TX moved to Houston in high school

Major: currently choral studies switching to vocal performance this spring.

Year: Junior.

Her Campus Texas: What is one thing you wish you could go back and tell your freshman self?

Jesus Villarreal: One thing I would tell myself is first focus on school, the rest will come in time!

HCTX: During truth or dare, do you usually pick truth? Or dare?

JV: I’m definitely a dare kind of guy.

HCTX: What do you usually do for Thanksgiving?

JV: Thanksgiving is a big family celebration. We normally get together make all kinds of yummy Mexican meals turkey included and of course jam session in the living room! Perks of having a musical family!

HCTX: What are three things you are thankful for?

JV: Family, Friends, and Health.

HCTX: What is your go-to cold weather outfit?

JV: My go to cold weather outfit would be a pair of dark wash jeans long sleeve or cute sweater with or without pattern and a coat. Scarf, formal casual shoes, and long socks.

HCTX: What do you do for fun or to relax?

JV: For fun, I’m a big go out and chill kind of person, from going to a coffee shop and grabbing a cup of coffee to going to a bar and grabbing a cocktail. To relax I sleep.

HCTX: When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

JV: A broadway star.

HCTX: What is a good cold weather date idea?

JV: I would probably start the night at Halcyon, a great coffee shop off fourth st. I would get us some coffee which is wonderful and buy smores for two. When I say smores I literally mean smores. It’s super cute! They bring out marshmallows a Hershey chocolate bar, graham crackers, and your own little fire pit! You roast your marshmallows and make literal smores! Then I would head to candy hill (it is along roverside by pady bird lake) once it gets dark, climb the hill and look at the view of the city! Since it’s cold cuddling and hugging would definitely be a thing! And afterwards go to my place, make some Mexican hot cocoa, and watch a movie or show on netflix!

Sounds like a fantasy date!

I am Corisa but a lot of my friends call me Cori! I feel like the real life Hannah Horvath from Girls.
