Freeway Equals Free Snacks!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Texas chapter.
Christian students passed out free food at the West Mall, at Gregory Plaza and in Jester this week during class rush hour (from 10-2, or until supplies ran out).
When asked why the students were giving out free bags of chips, fruit, cookies, water bottles, and other treats, Freshman Erin Howell explained, “We wanted to give out free food as a way of showing that God’s love is free.”
The students laughed and joked as they passed out food, calling out “Free chips? Free fruit?”
As I watched the girls give away their loot, I noticed that passing pedestrians often doubted the food was truly free. One girl questioned, “Is it really free? I don’t have to vote for you for anything?” The givers of food laughed and promised it was really free. The hesitant girl received her granola bar gratefully.
Who doesn’t love free snacks?!
