10 Holiday Activities More Enjoyable than Awkward Family Conversations

Why is it that when our relatives come to town, they always remember to pack a bag of questions we don’t want to answer? From the classic “so why are you single?” to the always inappropriate “what’s your GPA look like?” these questions can ruin the day. Here are some holiday activities to do when you need a break!

1. Dinner at the kid’s table. Sure, your younger cousin might be a little too honest about your new haircut, but at least you’ll get caught up on the middle school gossip.

2. Rewatch Elf for the 800th time.

3. Go the mall with your mom and casually point out all of the cute Urban shirts you wouldn’t mind getting for Christmas.

4. Catch up with your favorite high school teacher or coach over Peppermint Mochas.

5. Drive by your loser ex boyfriend’s house.

6. Read a book you have been meaning to read all semester.

7. Visit all the bars you couldn’t get into in high school.

8. Make adult hot chocolate with your high school friends.

9. Take your siblings ice skating. Bous points if the ice rink is outside.

10. Drive around your neighborhood in search of the house with the most extravagant Christmas lights.
