It’s been a bit gloomy here down at UT. The streets have been slick, the rain has been cold and the midterms keep coming. Spring break is close enough for the apathy to set in but far enough away to make us anxious. However, when the skies are gray, it’s always nice to look to those who are golden, and luckily the recent Oscars gave us a handful of stars to choose from. The dresses this year took on a more serious tone; high necklines and neutral colors were the noticeable trends. The softened manner in which Oscar’s fashion played out this year could almost parallel to our university’s current low-key vibe, but there were a few dresses that stood out and made the award’s truly colorful. So if the weather gets you down this week, think of the glamour of this past Oscars ceremony and remember that even on the red carpet, it can rain.
