Sex and The City of Brotherly Love: "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"By September 15, 2011 - 5:56pm When Sex and the City appeared on HBO thirteen years ago it took off like wildfire among the female population. The show was simple in concept-it centered around the lives of four best friends navigating through life in their mid-thirties. And life for these four women purely meant LOVE. It was the voice of main character Carrie Bradshaw, a relationship author which hooked one to the series. Carrie revealed the most personal aspects of her love and casual sex life through her writing. READ MORE |

Where were you on 9/11?By September 10, 2011 - 3:41pm I remember it clearly. I'm sitting in Mrs. Donnelly's homeroom around a hexagon table waiting for the day to begin. I'm in sixth grade and the only thing running through my mind is when Jackie is going to come back with the hall pass so I can catch a glimpse of my adorable crush, who is always in the king square at recess when we play four square, and luckily located in the next classroom. How long does it take to get a drink of water? I'm annoyed. READ MORE |

A Little HelpBy July 27, 2011 - 1:59pm Can you remember being a little kid and curious about anything and everything; you probably questioned adults endlessly yet the response always was the same- you’ll learn about that when your older or you’re too little to understand; but, one day you will find out… As maturing college women (and men!), I believe it is safe to say we have reached the point of uncovering life lessons- the “one day” has come and we are beginning to find out what we were so curious about as little tikes- family, friends, relationship and love just to name a few. My Life as an Intern at SELF!By June 1, 2011 - 12:28pm Hi Collegiettes™! I have one motto for the summer: To Come. To See. To Conquer. I have been dreaming of this summer for years, waiting desperately until the day that a national magazine offers me the position to work for them. I knew there were many challenges to overcome; after all, the entire country applies for internships in New York City for the summer, so I knew the competition would be fierce. However, an editor saw something in little ol’ me, and offered me an internship position in the fashion closet! READ MORE |

A Peek Inside Philly's Fashion SceneBy May 31, 2011 - 12:04am As I was surfing philly360.com, an online guide that highlights the many events in Philadelphia, it was through sheer luck that I came across an article that gave readers an opportunity to attend a very upscale and intimate fashion show. The article proposed that the first ten readers to RSVP to Carmelita Couture Resort Preview Fashion Show would possibly have a chance at front row seats at the event. It was only two days until the fashion show so I was uncertain if I would be granted the chance to attend, but I gave it a shot anyway. READ MORE |
