The Suicidal Tunnel: Choosing to LiveBy March 6, 2013 - 1:42pm “Honestly, I don’t question if you’ll do it, it’s when you’ll do it.” These words haunt me almost every time I feel the need to do the unimaginable and take away my own life. They were the words spoken by one of my friends in high school out of concern for my wellbeing. I, like many others in this world, suffer from suicidal thoughts from time to time due to my depression and anxiety. READ MORE |

Some girls end up in great relationships while in college, but I’m going to give you five wonderful reasons why it’s better to be single. 1. Fall in love yourself... |

Why use weight loss products?By November 30, 2012 - 3:19pm It was only a couple years ago, at the ripe age of 15, that chemistry major Cassandra Benner consumed her first green tea weight loss pill. But why? “Whenever I looked in the mirror, I thought I looked disgusting,” Benner says. Lets be honest, losing weight is no picnic. Integrated but Segregated: The Plight of Temple’s CampusBy November 15, 2012 - 7:27pm Did you ever notice how when people walk into the classroom on the first day they usually sit with people that look like them? Not even just because they’re friends, but if they don’t know anybody in the class they usually sit near people that look like them. Religious frustration: why must our universities be so secular?By October 21, 2012 - 9:43pm On March 20, 2012 New York’s Stony Brook University announced that it would no longer cancel classes on religious holidays. This announcement upset many people. Now, Temple has been that way for as long as I have attended classes here but until I discovered the article on Stony Brook, it was difficult for me to understand why. With the Yom Kippur holiday recently passed, and being the proud Jewish owl that I am, this issue has taken a very prevalent position in my mind. READ MORE |

Ten Points to Temple: Temple University announces its first LGBTQ scholarshipBy October 15, 2012 - 9:35am Let me just begin this article by saying, that I am glad that the University to which I attend, understands the concept of “getting on board before getting behind”. Think of LGBTQ acceptance and activism as a giant, happy, welcoming, bandwagon that is barreling up the figurative United states of America shaped slope. State by state, person by person, group by group (university by university), everyone is jumping on board. Temple has not only gotten on board but has leaped on board with both feet and is standing at the front smiling with an immense amount of glee. READ MORE |
