The First Week of the Semester as Told by the Presidential Candidates

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TCNJ chapter.

The beginning of the semester provokes a lot of emotions…who knew the 2016 presidential candidates were so good at explaining how we feel!

When you see someone that you missed this summer

When you walk into your first class confident and ready to kill it

But then the professor spends 2 minutes going over the syllabus and jumps right into Chapter 1

When you answer a question the first day of class and are low-key impressed with yourself

When you realize your Liberal Learning course is going to be one of your hardest courses

When you see how much your textbooks are going to cost you

But then you do some more searching and find a textbook 50% cheaper than its original price

When you look at your syllabi and realize how much work you have due by the 2nd week of classes

When you remember how much you missed meal equiv

When you try promising yourself you’ll go to the gym every day, but then remember how far the walk is

When you finish the first week of classes and realize you might not last the whole semester

But then the first weekend of the school year rolls around and you go out with your friends and remember the stress is worth it and you’re excited to see what this semester brings
