Fall is finally here and it’s time to get out your sweaters, blankets and tea! The crisp, cool weather that fall brings makes me want a cozier room to come home to. Here are a few quick tips to create the perfect space to relax after a busy, and chilly, day:

1. Turn off that dull overhead lighting that TCNJ dorms give you and hang string lights to improve the mood. Read your favorite magazine or book and take some time to relax.

2. Bring out your favorite blankets to snuggle under. It’s kind of obvious, but there’s nothing a soft blanket can’t fix.

3. Add pops of fall color into your room. Over the summer, I was “Pinspired” to DIY a mason jar with glitter and put fake flowers I found at Michael’s in it.

4. Although you can’t light candles in the dorms, you can still use a fall room scent to make your room smell amazing. I love the “Leaves” room spray from Bath & Body Works.

5. Add a baby pumpkin to your desk, just because it’s fall and it looks cute.
