October 10, 2012 - 5:00pm

In honor of Zumba week, which started Oct. 6, our campus celeb is Carmella Holl, a junior Spanish major and Marketing minor. To Carmella, instructing Zumba isn’t a job; it’s a place to have a fun workout, meet new people, hang out with, and have a positive and healthy impact on The College’s students. READ MORE

By Kristen Lauletti
September 10, 2012 - 3:00am

Imagine a breaking story happens. You jump into a news van and cruise to the location. Okay, so most people will probably never do this in their lives, but for U-Jin Lee it all became a reality this past summer. U-Jin, a senior Communication Studies major, was given the chance to intern at My9 News, a sister station to Fox 5, for three months. “It was really eye-opening, you get to see how the media operates under pressure and time constraints”, says U-Jin. One day after a Student Government meeting, 14-year-old Erin Casey* came home from high school and sat alone on her bed. AP and honors textbooks, ballet slippers, cheer pom-poms, and a work uniform were strewn about the pale blue room. With the photographs of friends and family on the walls smiling down around her, Casey made the first of many cuts – gliding the sharp edge of a pair of tweezers across the smooth skin of her inner forearm.
