Aggieland’s Finest: Baseball Edition

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TAMU chapter.

With the stress of finals week among us, finding the time to go to an Aggie Baseball game is probably the last thing on our minds right now, but here are some baseball boys that will make you want to spend your study break at Olsen Field instead of watching Netflix.

1. Cole Bedford, #54, Catcher

A Houston native, Cole is a sophomore majoring in business administration and hopes to one day start his own business. He also loves to hunt and fish…a great “catch” if you ask me.

2. Braden Shewmake, #8, Infielder

Braden is a sport management major from Wylie, Texas, and good news ladies, he’s only a freshman. Three more years to shoot your shot!

3. Corbin Martin, #12, Pitcher

Corbin is a junior from Cypress studying sport management. This country boy loves to hunt and fish and is sure to show you a good time.

4. Kaylor Chafin, #56, Pitcher

This Sweeny, Texas native loves to hunt and fish, and above all else, he’s really fun to look at.

5. Baine Schoenvogel, #36, Catcher

Baine is still pretty new to Aggie Baseball, coming from San Jacinto College. He enjoys water sports, hunting, and fishing (I’m noticing a pattern here). Baine hopes to one day become a sports commentator, so get him before he becomes famous!

6. Turner Larkins, #23, Pitcher

A sport management major from Arlington, Texas, Turner is definitely a stud on and off the field.

7. Cason Sherrod, #21, Pitcher

Cason enjoys working out, golfing, and volunteering (perfect, right?). He’s a Dallas native and hopes to one day be an MLB agent.

8. Jorge Gutierrez, #3, Infielder/Catcher

After moving to Sugar Land, this Venezuelan just became a US Citizen in September! He is a business management major and his goals after college are to be a successful husband and father. Could you really ever ask for anything else?

Get to Olsen Field to watch the Aggies play Mississippi State at home on May 4th, 5th, and 6th! Thanks and Gig ‘em!

Lia Musgrave is a sophomore Telecommunication Media Studies major at Texas A&M with a minor in Business. Lia loves traveling and spending time with her family and two dogs. She hopes to pursue a career as a sports journalist, but for now, she's just trying to get through college.
