The sun’s out and life on campus has been restored! Although some people may treat spring cleaning simply as cleaning in the literal sense of the word, I believe we should all take advantage of the spring mood and organize our lives before the semester ends. If you have no idea where to start, here are a few tips:

1) Rearrange Your Space

Granted, our dorms don’t give us much space to move around, but just by switching out a few of last season’s decorations you will already feel better. Plus, you can always find new ways to use what you already have and make them seem fresh.

2) Clean Up Your Interwebs Image

Summer internships are coming up and everything we post online is pretty much public. So take this time to delete those compromising party pics, and make sure you aren’t giving out too much information.

3) Organize Files

Remember those papers from last semester that you forgot to throw out? Do it! Organize your files by class, your pictures by event, and if you have a lot of paper sitting around, buy some cute folders to keep them neat and tidy! I’m sure this will be very helpful when finals roll around.

4) Clean Out Your Closet

Yes, we get to wear shorts again! Time to put all those puffy jackets in the back of your closet and bring out the sun dresses (maybe not that fast because it’s Syracuse and you never know). Since you’re already at it, why not take some clothes you haven’t worn in a while to a donation center?

5) Clean Out Your Phone

You know all those contacts you have from last semester? Random people you met at parties who you don’t even remember meeting? This is the perfect time to go through your contacts lists, your pictures, and your apps, and delete anything you don’t need. Let’s face it, getting a message that your phone storage is full is always disappointing.
