This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Syracuse chapter.

    As everyone knows, fall is finally here! While many rejoice over the first sip of a pumpkin spice late, I praise the moment I get to put on my first sweater of fall. As much as I love long summer nights and warm weather, summer clothes bore me. Yes, you heard that right. I get tired of sun dresses after a few weeks, and shorts are like my enemy. I love the versatility that fall allows by being able to layer. You could look through my closet and think that it belonged to three different people as my style ranges from super preppy, to leather leggings and ripped sweaters, because why pick one? So what are some of my favorite types of fall outfits? Here are three to give you and idea of just why I love fall so much.

#1:

This is one of my favorite types of fall outfits, an oversized sweater with leggings. Nothing is more comfortable than that. I love outfits like these because you can layer a long sleeve shirt underneath to add a pop of color to the outfit. Pairing it with a tall pair of boots and some dainty jewelry and you’re all set.

#2:

This is another great fall outfit. Vests are one of the best parts of fall. They definitely play to my preppier side, but that’s what I love about them. I love wearing this type of outfit for class or a day of apple picking and fun fall activities because it screams fall. It’s also so easy to put together. You can get puffy vests anywhere this time of year. You can pair it with a long sleeve shirt or a sweater and you’re good to go.

#3:

p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke: #000000} span.s1 {font-kerning: none}

Finally, an edgier type of fall outfit. What I love about wearing all one color is that it is so slimming and chic. I also love denim so pairing the two together looks great.

Now you see why I love fall so much! There’s so many options to create great outfits. Layering is so easy but adds so much depth to your outfit, and will make you look so much more put together than any sweatpants and an old sweatshirt would.
