What is your main objective as a Lord & Taylor Trendsetter?
As the event coordinator, my main objective as Lord & Taylor Trendsetter is to plan and promote fun events around campus and in the Lord & Taylor store in Destiny, USA. We are always thinking of ways to engage students through our different promotions and giveaways.
How did you get involved in the program?
I received an email about the Trendsetter program, so I looked into it because I had never heard of it before. My previous experience aligned with the program so I decided I should apply!
Were you always a fan of Lord & Taylor?
I always loved shopping at Lord & Taylor in Destiny because it was one place I could shop where I knew I could get everything for an outfit in one place. I am very busy, so I like not having to run all over the place to find what I need. I know I can walk into Lord & Taylor and find everything, whether it be clothing, shoes, or accessories.
Do you hope to continue working for the brand after graduation? What are your plans for the future?
I have accepted a position in product development with another retailer. I wanted to combine my love of fashion and my business minor, and I feel that this career is the best fit for me!
What is new and exciting over at Lord & Taylor?
The launch of the Design Lab happened this month which is a collection sold exclusively at Lord & Tayor. The Design Lab has everything from basics to dressier clothing. I would describe the assortment as the perfect mix of something you would wear to class, clothing for internships, and even a mix of pieces for a night out. The price points are great for college students, and the pieces are easy to mix and match.
What is your favorite piece from the spring/ summer collections?
My favorite piece was the asymmetrical maxi dress I am wearing in one of the photos. It has since sold out due to popularity, but I can’t wait to start wearing it more often when the weather gets warmer. I am also looking forward to wearing the Design Lab’s sandals.
