Who To Follow: Suffolk Bloggers

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

Every day I walk down the street and see something interesting. However, when you live in a city like Boston where strange sightings are common occurrence it is nearly impossible to record all your experiences. I’ve been writing actively since August 2011, on my style blog, Collegiate Style Diaries. It’s what inspired me to apply for the position of Campus Correspondent for Her-Campus at Suffolk.  My position as campus correspondent inspired me to start another blog on personal experience, Stories I have to Tell, and will hopefully help me land my dream internship this up-coming spring. My blogs have reached a total of nearly 40,000 views in the past year. I accomplished all of this while never managing to score above a “B” in a High School English class.

I wanted to write a blog for her-campus to publicize and spotlight other students who blog as a hobby as well, whether its through the visually appealing tumblr, or through their words-pressed. Also, to inspire other students and young people to start their own blog, we all have something to say- what is holding you back?

Junior, Public Relations Major

Lipstickskinny.blogspot.com

I created Lipstick Skinny to show readers that life is beautiful, interesting, and original even when it does not appear to be. You will find a collection of my thoughts, inspirations, and personal experiences that all come from a uniquely positive outlook on life that I feel is important to share with the world. My posts primarily focus on personal style, design, daily life in Boston, and the general optimist thought. The Lipstick is what I wear each day and the Skinny is what I have to say.
