Spring Break Ideas For When You’re Stuck At Home

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

We all dream of going somewhere sunny and tropical for Spring Break, but sometimes it’s just not possible. The idea of being stuck at home all week long can sound absolutely dreadful, but don’t fear! Here’s a bunch of ideas to make your week at home fun and worthwhile!

Go see a movie

While your home, grab some pals and go see a film one night! There’s so many good movies coming out, especially in March. For Disney lovers there’s A Wrinkle In Time out March 9th. If you like love stories, Love, Simon starring Nick Robinson and Katherine Langford is out March 16th and Midnight Sun starring Bella Thorne is out March 23rd. These are just a few, but there’s tons of good films coming out, check it out online!

Treat yourself to a shopping spree

Spring is right around the corner and you know what that means.. New clothes! All the Spring lines are starting to make their way into stores and Spring Break is the perfect time to try and grab some fun, new pieces. Grab some friends or fly solo and try to grab some awesome sales!

Go out for ice cream

If you’re an ice cream lover, you’re in luck! A lot of ice cream stands open back up during the middle of March which is perfect timing for Spring Break! Go out and treat your sweet tooth whether its by trying a new a flavor or going for your old favorite.

Hang outside and read a book

Spring Break can be tricky depending on where you live because sometimes it’s still freezing and other days it’s extremely warm (if you’re from New England like me, you know what I mean!) But if you happen to have a nice day, go spend some time outside! Grab a book or magazine you’ve been wanting to read, a lawn chair, and go catch some Vitamin D!
