Break out those green shirts! St. Pattie's Day is right around the corner! And what better way to celebrate this Irish holiday than attending a parade that trails through South Boston, aka Boston’s most Irish neighborhood!? The parade starts out on West Broadway Street at the Boadway MBTA station, and proceeds all the way to Andrew Square on Dorcester Street. This three hour parade is filled with entertainment, from marching bands to famous bagpipe players who travel from all over the world just for this event! Although many of us will be in our hometowns for spring break during this time, if you are here you, without a doubt, should attend this iconic festival!

The South Boston St. Patrick's Day parade has been occurring annually for the past 275 years and becomes increasingly more popular each year. The parade has become the SECOND LARGEST St. Patrick's Day parade in the United States, usually averaging  a crowd of around 600,000 spectators! Make sure you come early enough to ensure that you have a great view of the Irish themed floats and entertainment at this amazing parade!
