Should I wear the little black dress? OR should I wear the little black dress? The answer is always the little black dress and regardless of the weather, that answer will never change. Being from New England where 75 degree days can turn into freezing and potentially snowy nights, here are some hints on how to brave the cold while looking beyond fierce in the LBD.

Long sleeved little black dress: Perfect for those first couple of chilly nights where it’s not cold enough for a jacket but you could catch some goosebumps in route from point A to point B

Floor length overcoat: Not only will it keep you warm and create a shelter for your legs but you’ll look classy, pulled together, and who knows; maybe you’ll end up staying in this jacket for the night! Personally I would choose a jacket in a color other than black seeing as you’re going out on the town not heading to a funeral. Have fun with this if this is the option you choose to take!

Tights: The glue that keeps us together during those endless winter nights. A cute way to stay warm and in style, they can dress an outfit up or dress an outfit down. They’re the perfect solution to the cold winter nights.

Knee high boots: If you can’t find a pair of tights that suits you, take those boots you’ve been dying to wear out from your closet and toss ‘em on to cover as much skin as possible! The knee high boot with the little black dress is IN and sexy!

Currently a senior at Suffolk University majoring in Public Relations, I am excited to be finishing up my undergraduate career. Prior to working with Her Campus I interned at Rosie's Place, a non profit that works with struggling women and child. I currently waitress part time while going to school and working at Her Campus. Being a member of the Suffolk Her Campus chapter for 3 years now you can find some of my content there or in the giveaway section of the website!  In my free time I enjoy playing tennis, running, roller blading The Charles, cooking, spending time with my family and friends, overcaffinating myself at Starbucks, or binge watching Sex in The City for the 75th time. Upon graduation I wouldn't be opposed to staying in Boston nor would I be opposed to traveling elsewhere, preferably somewhere warm after these crazy winters.
