If you’re anything like me (a procrastinator) I wait till the last minute to buy most of my Holiday gifts. In particular, yankee swap gifts are ones that I tend to buy the day before or even the day of. Most yankee swaps I participate in involve a $15-$20 gift. With that said, here are a few quick, easy and affordable yankee swap ideas that will always have people pleased to open up!
1. A Blanket
You can never have too many blankets, especially if it’s soft and cozy! They’re always a crowd pleaser and it’s something they can start using right then and there.
2. A Scarf
Scarves are always a great gift especially for a yankee swap because they take place during the holiday season amidst the cold winter weather, so the more the merrier!
3. A Hat and Mittens
Another quick, simple and cute gift – anyone would be happy to have an extra pair of mittens and a hat around the house!
4. A Starbucks Gift Card
Coffee is always a good idea.
5. Fuzzy Socks
When we were little socks were the worst gift you could get… Now, they’re the best! I guarentee any college student would be happy to receive some cute or fuzzy socks.
As a final tip when shopping for last minute (or at any time) yankee swap gifts; when in doubt… ALWAYS go to TJMaxx or Marshalls.
