How To Winter: A Guide For Freshman

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

With November taking the reigns, it’s only a matter of time before brisk temperatures drop and the snow starts to fall.  I have come up with some tips to prepare anyone who hasn’t experienced a white winter in the Northeast (shout out to Southern Californians):

1.     It is imperative to buy a cozy winter coat. I bought mine from Costco, but there are plenty of stores in Boston that offer reasonably priced winter coats to snuggle up in.

2.     Invest in some other winter accessories, such as scarves, gloves and snow boots.  A trendy selection of scarves, gloves and beanies for good prices at H&M and Macy’s.

3.     Have a good pair of wintery pants to keep those legs warm!

4.     Don’t complain about the weather.  Don’t be that person.  Instead, cozy on up with a hot chocolate and do some fun winter activities with friends!

5.     Stock up on your necessities, such as tea and a good warm blanket.

Well, there you have it. Brace yourselves, everyone. Winter is coming.
