WARNING: If you don’t want to spoil this movie for yourself, don’t read any further!

Going into the theater, I thought this was going to be another cliche movie about a girl who becomes single and meets the love of her life. I was very mistaken! How To Be Single was the perfect combination of funny, romantic, and sad (but mostly funny). For the Dakota Johnson fans out there like me, you get to see a whole different side to her! Her role in this movie is unlike her roles in Fifty Shades of Grey or Black Mass. You are able to see the quirky and silly side to her! Rebel Wilson plays the part of Robin, who introduces Alice (Dakota Johnson) to the single life in New York City. Her part is – without a doubt – hilarious as always. There wasn’t one moment where she didn’t make me laugh! This movie makes me want a friend like Robin in my life.

Also, the soundtrack is FIRE. It’s hit after hit! Trust me, if you’re looking for the ultimate party soundtrack, I would check out theirs.

Unlike most Valentine’s Day movies, How To Be Single made me laugh. It taught me about girl power and that we don’t need a man in our lives to be truly happy. Give yourself some time in your twenties to do you, be selfish, and to figure out who your true self is! If climbing the Grand Canyon is what will inspire you to figure out what you want in life, then let that be it.

I highly recommend this movie and if you don’t end up liking it then we just can’t be friends… Just kidding (maybe). :)
