Girl Scout Cookie Record Broken!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

As reported by our lovely friends over at BBC, a girl in Oklahoma has recently broken the national record for selling Girl Scout cookies. She sold 18,107 boxes of cookies in just 7 weeks (holy cheese balls)! She set a goal of selling 20,000 boxes by March 20th (it was not reported whether she met that goal). Last year, the girl sold just over 12,400 boxes. She claims that her record-breaking cookie selling was done by asking everyone she knew, as well as everyone she saw on a daily basis, in Oklahoma City, as well as putting in a lot of time and commitment. It just goes to show that being a part of Girl Scouts can teach girls how to be business savvy, as well as help to build self-confidence.

A couple of months ago now, another girl in San Francisco sold her cookie boxes outside a medical marijuana dispensary, which proved to be quite a success.
