Book Blog: One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

B.J. Novak released his debut book on February 4. The fiction book, One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories, is more than you might expect from the celebrated cast member of The Office.

To put it broadly, the book is a collection of short stories. With 276 pages, there are really only 64 short stories. Novak breaks the book up by including anecdotes and likely discarded Twitter jokes. The book is infused with the humor you would expect from a comedy star, but there are some heavier thoughts than just that. The book has themes of philosophy, family, love, identities, and everything in between.

This book is great to read in spurts, like waiting for the T or in between classes. Because of the setup, it can be read in one or two sittings. One More Thing is definitely a must read for fans of B.J Novak, comedy, or short stories.

And if that didn’t convince you, check out the hilarious trailer released for the book, featuring Mindy Kaling.
