Let’s Talk Packing with Holly

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Strath chapter.

So Holly is heading away to the land of sunshine next week as she takes her spring vacation in Gran Canaria! We at HC Strath caught up with her to find out what her holiday must-haves are!

What is your go-to travel outfit? Do you go full glam or sport the comfys?

I much prefer comfys. For me, a pair of leggings, trainers t-shirt and jumper is the perfect outfit, especially for long haul flights!

So Holly- what are your top 5 things that you must always have in your carry on bag, that you can’t get through a flight without?

Passport (duh!), mobile phone, earphones, sweets and a good magazine!

How many bikinis do you feel reasonable to take for a week’s vacation?

1 think 4 are a decent amount!

Do you have a high or low beauty regime on holiday? What are your top 5 skincare and makeup products!

I like to wear some makeup in the evenings but I defintely am more low maintenance than when I’m at home! I would say a good moisturiser such as the Soap and Glory Righteous butter is amazing because the sun and water really dehyrates my skin! Also, waterproof mascara, tinted lip balm, CC cream and brow gel!

Now onto the matter of shoes… the big question is how many pairs are you taking with you for a weeks holiday and why?

I am taking pool flip flops, daytime sandals, two pairs of evening sandals and of course the trainers I am wearing travelling! So 5 pairs, is that excessive? Lol.

Thanks Holly, we hope you have a fab vacation and we can’t wait to see some pics!
