So obviously lil Chano has come a long way from his humble beginnings to now (GRAMMYS BABY!!!!!) and we are all so proud of him. There is too much to admire about this guy, and I honestly don’t have enough time or paper to explain it to you, BUT for all of you that perhaps are Amish or lack common sense, here are 10 easy reasons you should absolutely adore Chance the Rapper:

3: HIS LOVE FOR HIS DAUGHTER
Chance is actually very protective over almost illegally adorable daughter Kinsley in the press, so there’s not a lot of pictures of her online. But, as anyone who has him on snapchat or instagram will know—he is not private about his love for her in the slightest. (He absolutely adores her and it’s unreal cute)

4: HIS LOVE FOR GOD AND ABILITY TO TURN HIS LIFE AROUND
For those of you that don’t know, Chance was not always in the best place in life. In several of his song he references to growing up in a tough neighborhood and his involvement in drugs (and more specifically his addiction to Xanax). His newest album, however, talks volumes about his immense love for the Lord who he credits to turning his life around and getting him back on track. In fact, when Chance received his Grammy, he gave all the glory to the Lord. Gotta love a guy like that—a selfless hard worker!

5: HIS LOVE FOR CHICAGO / CHARITY INOLVEMENT
Chance is a proud Chicago boy, born and raised, and his love for his city is endless. Chance takes any opportunity he can get to give back to his city, often hosting huge music tours and Open Mike Nights for the youth. In fact, he was so involved with the Chicago youth he was awarded the Chicago’s Outstanding Youth Award. He and his brother to raise $100,000 for Chicago schools and often performs in charity events. Find a bigger heart, I dare you.

7: HIS NAME
Although few know it, Chance’s actual name is Chancelor Johnathan Bennett. That name alone I think comes with an easy $4,000. I want to name my dog this. Admit it, it’s cool!

8: HIS HUMBLENESS Chance works unreal hard are rarely gets the credit he deserves—the crazy thing is, he doesn’t seem to care much! Whenever he does get credit, he gives it to God and when he doesn’t, he see’s the bigger picture. Chance was even cut out of Kanye West’s song “Famous” and “Waves” and seemed to not even care that much, giving credit to Ye for his vision. 9: HIS LOVE FOR HIS MOM
Chance talks a lot about his Family and specifically his mom in a lot of his song (see: “Hey Ma” and “Family Matters” for easy examples). It’s clear Chance is a huge family man with a soft spot for his mama.

This guy comes out with enough amazing music to keep you in a Chance-trance for days (or 10 Days?). I cannot say enough about his music for I won’t even try. Variosu artists including Kanye West, Drake, Kenrik Lamar, and various others have praised Chance for his incredible talent and hard work—dude did it all on his own, no label!
CASE AND POINT: Chance rules. He’s an all around HUGE win: immense talent, huge heart, and more success on the way. If you don’t love him by now I know a counselor you can call, and for those of you who don’t know him yet…just give him a chance!
