During these cold winter months in Western Pennsylvania, it can be difficult sometimes to think of date night ideas. Throughout these winter months, it seems that all anyone wants to do is stay inside and cuddle up. Well, in this article I’m going to give you my top ten winter date ideas to get you out of the winter blues and to put some spice back into your dating life. Enjoy!

1. Snow Tubing/Sled Riding

Whether you’re just sledding down a hill by your house or your significant others, or going up the mountains to Hidden Valley or Seven Springs, this is a great date idea for these frigid months.

2. Snowball Fights

I know it might seem childish, but that’s what makes it so much more fun. Snowball fights, in my opinion, help to bring out your inner child. And who better to do that with than your significant other?

3. Book Swap

If you’re not into being out in the cold, this date idea would be perfect for you. You can either go to a bookstore with your significant other and pick out a book for one another, or you can give them one of your favorites you have lying around at home that you’ve already read.

4. Try a new recipe

On a cold snowy day, there’s nothing better in the world than making some good homemade food to eat while watching the snow fall outside.

5. Ice Skating

Yes, you will probably fall down more times than not, but at least you’ll have someone to laugh with and pick you up when you hit the ice.

6. Winter Photoshoot

If you or your significant other is interested in photography, this is an excellent idea for the winter months. You can take pictures of each other, pictures together, or even pictures of the scenery. There’s so many possibilities with this idea!

7. Hit up a local coffee shop

If you don’t really like to spend the winter months outside in the cold, but still wanna get out of the house this idea is perfect for you.

8. Bring out your inner child and crack out some board games

Sure, it seems old school, but it helps to pass the time and can be a way to relive your childhood with your significant other.

9. Build a Gingerbread House

Bring out your creativity in this great idea! And if you and/or your significant other are competitive, make it into a gingerbread house contest. See who can make the best decorated house.

10. Netflix and Snuggle

Curl up with your significant other and binge watch a show or find a movie that you’ve both been wanting to watch for a while. Top this idea with some homemade hot chocolate.
