Important Dates to Remember for SVC

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St Vincent chapter.

As the semester winds down, there’s a lot going on at SVC and there’s a lot of dates that you have to remember.  If you’re having trouble remembering some dates, check here:

April 19th – Housing Mixer

If you don’t have a roommate, don’t worry!  You can come to the housing mixer to try to find a roommate for next year.  Ask your prefect for more information.

April 20th – Residential Living Day

If you’re not happy with the housing lottery number that you pulled, here’s your chance to get a better number!  Go to at least two different dorms, get your card stamped, and then turn it in for a chance at a top housing ticket for your class! There will be food and tours in each of the buildings from 9pm-11pm.

April 21st – Housing Selection

            4:30pm: Rooney and Aurelius

            6:00pm: Wimmer

            7:00pm: Bonaventure and Gerard

April 26th – Academic Conference

Classes are cancelled from 11:30am-7:00pm, and you can go to mass to see the spring honors convocation.  After the ceremony, go to the Dupre Science Pavilion to see all of the hard work that your fellow classmates have completed throughout the year!

May 5th – Last Day of Classes

May 8th – 11th – Finals Week

You will have to be moved out of your dorm room within 24 hours of your last final.  If your last final occurs on Thursday, you will have to be completely moved out Thursday.

May 13th – Spring Commencement

It’s GRADUATION DAY! Congrats seniors, SVC won’t be the same without all of you!

May 16th – Final Grades Due at Noon

Check the portal to see your grades for the semester.

It’s almost summer, Bearcats!  You just have to get through these dates and then you’ll be home for three months!

St Vincent '18

Hello there! I am the Campus Correspondent of the Her Campus chapter at Saint Vincent College. As a senior psychology major, I've made the most of my time in undergrad and am excited for all the doors I have opening ahead of me. I can definitely thank Her Campus for giving me invaluable skills. As a future psychologist, I hope that my articles (and the chapter's) are able to make you feel empowered, motivate you to start a conversation, and be kind. As a hero of mine has said, "If you do not take control over your time and your life, other people will gobble it up. If you don't prioritize yourself, you constantly start falling lower and lower on your list."- Michelle Obama. Be the change you want to see in the world, and smile. Always smile!
