How to Stay Cute, Warm and Cozy in the Cold!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St Olaf chapter.

It seems as though the winter season is upon the Hill! This last week the weather switched from nice fall days to chilly grey days almost instantly. Now its time to embrace the colder weather! Here are some helpful tips to help you adjust to the cold, especially if, like me, you aren’t from somewhere with cold weather.

Stock up on some warm sweaters!

Whether online shopping or thrift store rummaging is your thing, make sure to stock up on some warm sweaters! Also, don’t forget about the second Ole Thrift Shop sale of the year, happening on November 3rd in Buntrock! That will be a great opportunity to score some good deals on cute sweaters. Sweaters are a great way to keep yourself warm during the winter while also looking cute! They are cozy and can be worn with essentially anything.

Buy some Tea or Hot Chocolate for your Dorm Room!

It is great to have tea, hot chocolate or apple cider in your dorm room as a great way to warm up after class or a way to relax during an evening study session. If keeping these things in your room isn’t your thing, you can always grab something from the Cage! Try to use a reusable coffee cup so that it will stay warm when you walk out in the cold. Having a hot drink is a great way to keep yourself warm and happy during a gloomy cold day.

Invest in a Warm, Cute Pair of Boots

A cute pair of warm boots is a very important piece of clothing to have in your closet. Just because they are warm doesn’t mean they can’t be cute! Check out Sorel for lots of cute options that are warm and have good tread on them! A pair of boots can be styled with your sweater!

I hope these tips are helpful! Stay warm Oles!
