How to Spend Thanksgiving According to Friends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St Olaf chapter.

If there’s one show that can teach us about Thanksigivng gatherings, it’s Friends. So I thought we should take a closer look at those 10 episodes and use them to make a list of the do’s and don’ts of how to spend Thanksgiving this year.

Don’t

Make a pro and con list about someone to help you decide if you should date them or not, because if that person finds out… that’s really unfortunate for you.

Miscount your states.

Use expensive china plates if you’re worried about one of your friends breaking them.

Be late to the Thanksgiving meal, because you WILL get locked out.

Talk about your high school past, because secrets might come out (i.e. the one where your friend lead a club whose goal was hating you)

Do

Pretend to like your family/friend’s cooking, even if they did decide to put meat in the trifle.

Make up for any fights between your family/friend’s BEFORE celebrating, so they don’t end up in a box across the room for punishment.

Enjoy the last of the fall weather by playing a friendly game of football outdoors.

Know your friends can always set another seat for you at the table if your original plans fall through.

Make each other laugh… in whatever way that may be.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
