Easter is right around the corner, which fortunately means the weather is finally warming up and summer is near! Not only that, but Easter can be something to look forward to, too! Whether you have big Easter traditions or not, try out any of these five things and make a tradition of your own.

1.  Candy

Peeps, chocolate bunnies, robins eggs, you name it! Easter has become one of the best holidays for candy intake. Treat yourself this Easter with your favorite candy, and give some to your friends, too! An excuse to eat chocolate is never a poor excuse.

2.  Easter Egg Hunts

Whether you’re on campus or at home this Easter, plan an outdoor Easter egg hunt for you and your company! Scavenger hunts are fun, rewards in the form of candy will probably be involved, and it gives you a chance to get outdoors and enjoy the spring weather! Don’t hesitate to be festive this Easter whether it’s an Easter Egg Hunt, cookie decorating, dying Easter eggs or another Pinterest craft.

3.  Wearing Pastel Colors

Mint green, baby pink, pale yellow – all of these colors are in right now, and Easter is the perfect time to debut them in your wardrobe! Pastel colors are fun for clothes, accessories, or manicures, and they’re flattering for everyone! Enjoy this adorable trend this Easter and carry it out through the spring season.

4.  Spring Weather

FINALLY the snow is melted (hopefully I didn’t speak too soon). Over Easter weekend, make an effort to get outdoors, enjoy the fresh air and finally get some Vitamin D! Go on a walk, take a bike ride, throw a frisbee around, whatever you choose! Just enjoy the beautiful weather while you can, you deserve it!

5.  Family

Although this isn’t the case for everybody, Easter is often a time for family and celebration. Cherish the time with your loved ones and make sure they know how much you appreciate them. If you’re spending Easter on campus, get together with your friends and celebrate with candy, yummy food and whatever else you attribute to the holiday.

Happy holidays and happy spring, Oles!  Make the rest of your year count. :)
