What Happens When You Drink Enough Water

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. Law U chapter.

We’ve all heard the hype that drinking 64 ounces of water is supposed to be the daily H20 intake by an average individual, but is all of this water necessary for looking and feeling better? We took on this challenge for a week, and frankly, we might never turn back! A good way to keep track of your water intake is with the new Spark Water Bottle, which we found really helps with tracking how much water you are drinking each day!

  1. Better energy levels: After only a day of drinking 64 ounces of water, we found that we had far more energy. It was also easier to wake up in the morning and fall asleep faster at night, which made it even easier to do all of our homework.

  1. Glowing skin: After only a few days, I noticed that my skin looked incredibly healthy and shiny! If you have dry skin, drinking enough water will definitely nourish your skin to make it soft, which is beneficial for the spring and summer months.

  1. No headaches: If you drink enough water each day, we realized that you don’t get as many headaches. Even if you are stressed out about your work, make sure you are drinking enough water to minimize those headaches.

  1. Less hunger: Drinking a lot of water each day will not only make you feel refreshed, but it will also make you less hungry. This can be beneficial because it means that you don’t need to snack as much throughout the day.

  1. You don’t get sick: If you get into the habit of drinking 64 ounces of water each day, we realized that it truly prevents you from getting sick. Even though it can be hard for some to stick to this schedule of drinking this much water, it really helps you stay healthy throughout the year.
