How to Be Best Dressed at Titus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. Law U chapter.

SLU’s favorite weekend of the winter, Titus, is fast approaching. Formally known as “The Snow Bowl,” which was once ranked in Playboy’s Top College Parties of the Year, Titus Weekend is held each February at nearby Titus mountain. Students dress in loud winter garb, listen to live music, and engage in fun outdoor activities like skiing and sledding.

Here is a quick guide on how to put together a killer outfit for Titus 2017:

  1. Starting from the top: a warm headband or hat is always a good idea because it functions in both style and warmth. All three pictured below can be found at Urban Outfitters.

     2. Even though much of the Titus celebration is indoors, sunglasses are a fun touch to any outfit. Break out your Ray-Bans or buy a funkier pair like the ones pictured below. If you want to stick to the apres-ski theme, you can sport a pair of ski goggles instead!

    3. Next up is one of the most important parts of the outfit: the jacket. Check out any thrift shops in town or Ebay for some good deals. Remember: the more colorful, the better!

     4. Pants are obviously a crucial part of the outfit, and here’s where you can be a little flexible. If you are going for the real ‘skier’ look, and also want to stay extra warm, ski pants are a great touch, otherwise leggings work well.

    5. As for shoes, winter boots or any comfortable outdoor shoes are usually the best call. Make sure you keep those toes warm!

Hopefully this list gives you a few ideas on what to wear to Titus 2017 and will also help you to have the best weekend possible!
