Here at Her Campus StLawU, we recently received our back-to-school survival kit from Her Campus Media. All of the products included are incredibly awesome and relevant to our lives at SLU. What items are part of the box, you might ask? Keep reading to see what’s included and why you might need one or more of everything!

We received two books in the package this fall, both from Andrews McMeel Publishing. The first is “The Roommate Book,” by Becky Simpson. This book provides some comical insight into what it’s like to either live with a friend or, in most cases as a freshman, a stranger.

The second book we were fortunate enough to receive is called “Adulting is a Myth,” by Sarah Andersen. This book gets down to the nitty gritty on body image, hair and makeup, dating/relationships, along with topics as mundane as doing laundry. It also gives very relatable details about the experience of leaving the comforts of home. This book is so real, it’s insane. Every college student needs to pick up this read!

Next up, we received the CamelBak Forge Divide travel mug in an adorable white and silver color. This is absolutely prime for anybody in college. Whether you are rushing to class and want to bring your coffee/tea from the Keurig in your room, or you just want to be green and save those 23 cents you get for having a reusable cup when you get your favorite drink from the pub, this mug is a must have.

The DivaCup: this is something that just started to pick up hype over the last few years, and it deserves our attention. The DivaCup is a menstrual cup that you wear up there and it can collect your flow for up to 12 hours without leaking! Not only is it super easy to clean, but it also makes life so much easier because you no longer have to constantly carry around tampons and/or pads throughout your cycle. I have a friend who absolutely swears by the thing — she loves not having to purchase tampons all the time!
