Gift Ideas For That Special Someone

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St. Law U chapter.

Whether you’ve been dating for a few weeks or even a few years, buying a gift for that special someone is always stressful. Will he like this? Is this too much? Is this too little? A few tips I live by is first setting a price range with your boyfriend, so that way neither of you are spending an absurd amount of money. I usually say anywhere between $25-$75 is typical, depending on the seriousness of the relationship. Also stick to the basics, there’s no need to be extravagant! Here are a few ideas that you can never go wrong with!

Baseball Cap– What guy doesn’t rock baseball caps? You can get it of his favorite sports or maybe his favorite place to visit, either way he’ll be very thankful for this!

T-Shirt– Again it could be of his favorite sports team or from his favorite clothing store. If you’re looking for a nicer style shirt, a lot of guys seem to be into Lululemon these days!

Watch– A watch may be on the pricier side; however, your guy would be ecstatic if you added something that nice to his wardrobe!

Flannel– You can’t go wrong with a big, comfy flannel and they’ll appreciate it with the winter coming! I recommend the one for L.L. Bean!

Alternatively, if you’re a broke college student there’s no reason you have to buy him a gift! Homemade gifts are always more personal. Try making a scrapbook of you and your significant other, or bake him his favorite cookies. Don’t stress too much about this. He’ll love any gift you get him!
