Freya’s DIY: Stained Glass Cookies

So yummy – and you get to eat sweets as you make it. Perfect.

Ingredients: 

  • 115g softened butter
  • 55g caster sugar 
  • 175g plain flour
  • 1-2 tbsp milk 
  • fruit flavoured boiled sweets 

Method:

  1. Set the oven to 180 decrees centrigrade. Line a baking sheet.
  2. Beat the butter and sugar until thick, pale and creamy.
  3. Sift the flour, and mix in the butter and sugar together. Stir in the milk, then knead the mixture to form a soft ball of dough.
  4. Roll out onto a floured surface until about 1/2cm thick, then cut it into shapes with biscut cutters.
  5. Cut a hole in the middle of each shape and but half a sweet intside it. bake for fifteen minutes until goldern.
  6. Cool on a wire rack.
