Who Will Be Your Next Mr. Blue and White?: Contestant #2, Gian Ray

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Spelman chapter.

On Saturday, April 22nd Spelmanites will vote for who we want to bear the title of 2017-2018 Mr. Blue and White. As voting approaches, the Her Campus team would like to showcase the contestants and their platforms. Remember, our Mr. Blue and White should be a reflection of all Spelmanites and a brother, friend, and advisor to all.

Contestant #2 is Gian Ray

Gian Ray is a Junior Business Administration Major with a concentration in Finance at Morehouse College. Having been raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gian chose to bring his talents to Morehouse where, upon graduating, he will go on to pursue a career as a Sports Agent.

Over the course of his time at Morehouse, Gian has been actively involved in CASA (Campus Alliance for Student Activities), Project House, and the Morehouse Business Association.

Gian’s intention for being the 2017-2018 Mr. Blue and White is imbedded in ensuring that Spelmanites are healthy, both mentally and physically. Through his platform S.W.A.T. (Spelmanites Working out and Training) Gian aims to partner with the Wellness Center and lead Spelmanites in the pursuit of good health.

“I want to be Mr. Blue and White because I want to help the women of Spelman College become more physically fit and active and build bonds with their Spelman sisters”, said Gian.

“If chosen as Mr. Blue and White three things I would do are 1) have weekly running sessions on campus for the women of Spelman College 2) have yoga on the oval 3) work with the Wellness Center to have more interactive and engaging activities for the ladies of Spelman College”, he concluded.
