Based on the numerous tweets about the Carolina Gentlemen on the infamous USC Crushes Twitter account, we know y’all LOVE South Carolina’s very own, all-male a capella group (but then again who wouldn’t—it’s like a real-life Pitch Perfect!). This campus cutie, Stephen Oakes, is one of their newer members, and bonus ladies—he’s single! Read on to learn more about one of USC’s most talented vocalists.

When did you first get involved with a capella?
This year is my first year in an a capella group, but I have been singing since I was in 7th grade.
What’s the best part about being a part of the Carolina Gentlemen?
The group of guys we have is awesome. We have so much fun together and we have grown closer through music.
Where would you typically be found on a Saturday night?
Hanging with some of the Gents or friends from my hall.
Are you involved in anything else on campus or do you have any other hobbies besides singing?
I enjoy staying active by going the to gym, playing basketball, or swimming.
Describe your idea of a perfect date: It would have to be spontaneous, maybe a nice picnic on the Horseshoe followed by snuggling while watching a movie.
What’s something that not many people know about you?
I am a pro at making crazy faces.
