He brought you flowers.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Sonoma chapter.

Pounding and pounding and pounding, you can hardly breathe. Each breath coats the inside of your lungs with a thin layer of ice.

The anxiety. You know it’s gonna happen. He’s not coming. You’re waiting for the confirmation. You know it’s gonna happen.

Talk yourself out of it. He won’t, he won’t.

He doesn’t. He’s there. He brings you flowers.

The anxiety was overwhelming. But he doesn’t hurt you. He brings you flowers.

Purple and pink and white. They smell wonderful. They look beautiful and so does his smile.

How could you believe he’d hurt you?

Well because everyone else has.

Why would he be different.

How can you know?

Well. because he brought you flowers.

You didn’t ask him. And he didn’t know you love flowers.

He thought of you without thinking and saw you in the flowers even though you felt wilted.

It didn’t hurt. He brought you flowers.
