Finals- FML for ShortBy December 10, 2012 - 7:34pm We’ve been dreading this week for months, attempting to trick our minds into believing that the reading days were actually just generous days off in celebration of a random holiday. In reality, we knew that the days we skipped class because we were too hungover were catching up to us, and catching up to us fast. Procrastination suddenly became our bestest pal, as we sat together bundled up in blankets watching Revenge and Gossip Girl, wasting the time away that we could’ve been using to study for our psychology final. Trader Joe's Come to Dallas!By October 24, 2012 - 3:10pm If you’re like me, and completely obsessed with Trader Joe’s, the fact that one has arrived in the Dallas area must make you feel like it’s Christmas morning. Trader Joe’s is a one-of-a-kind health food store, with several unique items unavailable anywhere else. Most of the food they carry is their own “Trader Joe’s” brand, which I believe ranks as the best-tasting brand out there. This store has a major cult following, so don’t be shocked when you enter the Plano location (2400 Preston Road), and see the large number of people in the tiny food store. But the friendly employees and delicious samples will keep you coming back! READ MORE |

Cooler Tips for Fall FormalsBy October 11, 2012 - 3:40pm Whether you are in the Greek system or not, you will most likely attend a formal at some point this year. Regardless if you are hosting the formal or invited to attend one, you are almost always expected to provide your date with a cooler. The coolers are a southern tradition, which women here at SMU have chosen to keep alive. They are time consuming, usually expensive, and require many of us to find our creative sides we may not be familiar with. So what exactly goes in the cooler and how do we make one? First understand a cooler must be individual for your date. Before buying the cooler, get to know your date. Find out what he likes to do or eat, if he is in a fraternity, and where he is from, etc. READ... |
