This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SMU chapter.

Whether it’s studying blues or the approaching holiday season, if you’re getting a sweet tooth, you need to know where to go. Luckily, Dallas has every exquisite dessert you could want from pies to milkshakes to macarons.

Emporium Pies- I have tasted a lot of excellent pie in my day, but I make absolutely no exaggeration when I say this is the greatest pie I have ever eaten. Emporium Pies in the Bishop Arts District is an adorable bakery from the personalized to-go baskets right down to the address (314 North Bishop). The shop features several classic pies along with daily specials, and is also available for pickup, so that no matter what you can get your pie fix.

Steel City Pops- It might be getting cold out, but it will never be too cold for an incredible popsicle! Whether you like classic fruity flavors, cookie pops, or something a little stranger like Bearded Tomatillo or Maple Bacon with Bourbon (don’t knock it ‘til you try it!) Steel City never fails to disappoint. These pops are worth enduring the cold for.

Joy Macarons- They’re adorable, they’re French, they’re delicious- macarons are truly some of the greatest desserts out there, and Joy Macarons does them the best. Featuring numerous custom flavors, as well as some seasonal additions, these desserts can be delivered to you via Favor, or picked up in shop. Plus, they’re gluten free, so you can rest easy knowing you’re eating healthier.

Sprinkles Cupcakes- What’s better than being able to get a delicious, nationally-accredited cupcake? Being able to get one from a cupcake ATM! With classics, innovations, sugar free, and vegan options there’s guaranteed to be a cupcake to satisfy your sweet tooth. And if cupcakes aren’t your thing (you might be crazy) there’s also several flavors of ice cream and cookies available that are equally as delicious.

Hopdoddy’s- The burgers here are great- the milkshakes are even better! From Nutella to red velvet flavors, each milkshake is rich, creamy and absolutely incredible. Pair them with a burger for a complete and amazing meal, or go for the milkshakes alone- no matter what, you can’t go wrong.
