Being a college student, we all know that you may need a little caffeine pick-me-up from time to time (or every day in some cases). However, if you find yourself going to Starbucks on a regular basis, then you, my friend, may have an addiction. Although Starbucks may have your favorite drink, many can agree that you can drop quite a lot of money there. Here are a few signs that show you might be addicted to Starbucks!
1. You go more than once a week
Visiting Starbucks once a week just to treat yourself is okay, but once you start going more than three times a week, or even every day, you might have a problem…and your bank account balance might be looking a little low.
2. Whether it be their k-cups or travel mugs, your Starbucks collection is expanding
You know you’re obsessed when you own not only Starbucks mugs, but you also have a t-shirt/sweater with the logo on it.
3. You order a venti…or even a trenta
Do you even need that much coffee? Eh, you’re a college student, a ‘little’ more caffeine won’t hurt.
4. You’ve gotten your friends somewhat obsessed, even if your friend only likes the frappuccinos
You don’t always want to go to Starbucks alone, so bringing your friends along is always fun! But you’ll probably get them addicted, too.
5. You have the Starbucks app on your phone…and you’re a gold member
Not only do you have the app on your phone, but you have ordered so many drinks from Starbucks that you’re now a gold member and get the perks of being one! It’s the least they can do for your addiction.
6. You get excited when they have seasonal drinks/cups…and post an Instagram picture when you get it!
Has red cup season arrived already? You have to go to the nearest Starbucks right away so you can get a cute Instagram picture!
7. Your entire family buys you Starbucks gift cards for any gift-giving holiday
When you have over $100 in gift cards to Starbucks just for Christmas, you know you have a problem.
8. The people working there know your (long) order
Even though your order is quite long, including “light ice” and how many pumps of syrup you want, the baristas still remember your go-to drink.
9. You’re offered a job at your local Starbucks
The people working at your local Starbucks don’t just know your name, but they ask you (multiple) times if you want to work there, too.
