What To Wear When Fall Feels Like Summer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Skidmore chapter.

This fall we in the Northeast have been experiencing some strange 90 degree weather, which is very out of the ordinary for the end of September/ beginning of October. This is the season to wear cozy fashionable sweaters and layered vests and scarves, so what are we supposed to wear when it’s unseasonably hot?

1) Pair your favorite summer sundress with short brown boots and a jean jacket to effortlessly transition from hot days to cool evenings.

2) Wear a pair of fall-toned shorts (maroon or army green, for example) with a flowy neutral or white tank top and brown sandals.

3) A dark patterned skirt with your favorite crop top and a sheer shawl, paired with low-heeled booties.

4) Loose fitting ripped jeans and a graphic tank top with your go-to comfortable walking shoes (mine are my gray vans).

5) And finally, wear whatever your heart desires! Fall is all about the colors, so go crazy and have fun. Just don’t wear white bottoms after Labor Day!
