Puss in Boots
You know Puss from “Shrek 2” and now he’s back in“Puss in Boots,”telling the story of his adventures as an outlaw before meeting Shrek and Donkey. With help from his sidekicks, Humpty Dumpty (voice of Zach Galiflanakis) and Kitty Softpaws (voice of Salma Hayek), Puss (voice of Antonio Banderas) fights to save his town. Although enlisting a new slew of characters than in the previous Shrek movies, Puss in Bootsis still as visually stunning as movies prior and maintains the series’ fairytale charm.
Tower Heist
A star-studded comic mystery, “Tower Heist” follows workers at a luxury New York City condominium as they seek revenge against the penthouse billionaire who has stolen their retirement. The building workers enlist petty criminal Slide (Eddie Murphy) to help them plan a heist to take back the money that they believe is hidden underneath the penthouse. Also stars Ben Stiller, Casey Affleck, Tea Leoni, and Alan Alda.
In Time
In this science-fiction thriller, the year is 2161 and time is money. Set in a desolate city, everyone stops aging at 25, with only 365 days remaining to live after the 25th birthday. In this imagined world, ‘living time’ has replaced actual currency and everything, including food and shelter, is valued in minutes, hours, and seconds. The only way to live longer is to buy time, enabling the rich to live forever.
When a poor man with usually less than a day’s worth of time remaining on his life clock, Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) is falsely accused of murder, he must attempt to destroy the system and scrape up a few more minutes to make it through another day. Also stars Olivia Wilde and Amanda Seyfried.
