8 Best Things About Being Back at Skidmore
1. Seeing friends you haven’t seen in what feels like ages. Those four long months away from school make it totally acceptable to scream in public when you see your former suitemate.
2. Getting a new room. Whether you went from a cushy room in Wait Hall to a less-than-so room in Penfield or vice versa, it’s the most exciting thing to redecorate a new space and call it your own. It’s also fun to spend the first few days back running around seeing all your friends’ new rooms.
3. Showing off the new wardrobe you bought over the summer. Every sidewalk suddenly becomes a runway and your classmates are the paparazzi; and rightfully so ‘cause your outfit is on fleek.
4. Resuming the stalking of your campus crush you haven’t seen all summer. And somehow they got even cuter!
5. Sunday sundaes. Enough said.
6. Enjoying the last few summery days by hanging out on the Case green.
7. Getting scared at the sight of the Skidmore squirrels. Things aren’t right if you aren’t startled by a squirrel jumping out of a trash can at least once a day.
8. The famous and magical Skidmore sunsets. Those shades of orange and pink are how you know you’re home.
