Top 5 Places to Visit if You Love Autumn

Autumn is obviously the best season out of the year. The weather is changing, the leaves are falling, and the holiday season approaching, who couldn’t love it?

 

If you’re a Fall-Fanatic, here are the top 5 places to visit this year in the greater-Philadelphia area for a truly festive season.

1. Franklin Square

Known as one of the first public parks to originate in Philadelphia, Franklin Square hosts many events all year round that you won’t want to miss! Located in Historic Philadelphia PA, the most fun you will have this fall will be at their Pumpkin Patch and the Trick-or-Treat Trail. Stop by this historical site to have some fun this Fall with friends or loved ones.

 

2. Peddler’s Village

This quaint little shopping center is the cutest destination for all things Fall. Located in New Hope, Bucks County PA, it is most famous for the “Grand Illumination Celebration”, where festive Christmas lights are hung to dazzle every visitor. Apart from the vintage boutiques and amazing homemade food, Peddler’s Village hosts many festivals and celebrations, especially during the Fall/Winter. Some other festivities include the Fall Scarecrow Competition, October FEAST, and the Apple Festival. If you’re taking a trip to Bucks County, make sure Peddler’s Village is on the top of your To-Do list this fall.

3. Delaware Valley University

Known for its on-campus market and Pumpkin Patch festivities, DelVal University is the perfect place to visit for all your fall needs. Located in Doylestown, Bucks County PA, this campus has it all. From a corn maze, to hayrides, and even locally sourced produce and groceries. DelVal is the most popular fall destination in Central Bucks. This spot is great for quality family time together, a great pass-time with friends, or a cute intimate date with a significant other. Stop by Delaware Valley University to FALL in love with autumn.

4. Peace Valley Park

Peace Valley Park is the place to be this Fall if you live for Fall foliage. This 1500 acre park is located in Doylestown, Bucks County PA. Peace Valley Park is the perfect place for hiking, kayaking, and sunset-gazing for all nature lovers. The color-changing leaves are definitely a sight you won’t want to miss as the transition from Summer to Winter takes it’s toll in the weeks to come.

5. Eastern State Penitentiary

This deserted prison is the best place to visit this Fall if you find haunted houses to be thrilling. America’s most historic prison is located in Philadelphia, PA and is definitely a place to visit for all your Halloween needs. The prison hosts tours all year long, and is most famous for its “Terror Behind the Walls” haunted house event. Make sure you check out this famous site for the ultimate Fall fear.
