10 Reasons You’re Already Getting Excited for Christmas Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Siena chapter.

We know there is still time before it is winter, and the holidays… But there is no reason we should hide our excitement! Sure, you enjoy your time at college with friends, and being independent, but you know you’re getting excited for Christmas break coming up!

Some major reasons most of us are getting anxious for Christmas break are:

1. NO STRESS!

Homework, midterms, and finals are great and all, but let’s face it… We could do without all the stress for a bit.

2. Spending time with friends and family that you haven’t seen since summer.

Yes, you will miss your Siena fam dearly, but you know you’ll see them again in a month or less.

3. You’ll be able to cook for yourself or have your mom’s homemade food.

Chicken tenders from Casey’s are pretty awesome, but sometimes you really miss a homecooked meal.

4. Binging on Netflix and not feeling guilty about being very unproductive.

You won’t have to take a break from an intense episode because you won’t be interrupted by class time or homework.

5. Snuggling with your “bae.”

Whether that be your significant other, a bag of doritos, or pet dog, you’re just excited to cuddle up during the cold weather.

6. Spending the holidays with friends and family.

You have so many fun plans and places to go, and you won’t be satisfied unless you’re spending them with the ones you love!

7. Seeing how pretty the snow is, but not having to actually go outside into the cold.

At college, you pretty much despise the snow because you have to go outside… But at home you can just admire it from your window!

8.  Enjoying all of your favorite holiday drinks.

Hot cocoa, pumpkin spice lattes, and eggnog – what could be better?

9. Decorating the entire house with Christmas spirit.

You’re never too old to help decorate the tree!

10. New Years Eve parties.

Having all your friends together, taking selfies together, playing fun games, and watching the ball drop is the perfect way to spend the night.
