Additional Questions
Tell me more about the wrestling club you are starting up and why you want to do it?
If everything goes well the Wrestling club will happen a couple times a week and at first it will mainly focus on drilling and teaching the basics of wrestling. I think the sport teaches you so much about yourself, it goes beyond the sport itself. It’s also satisfying when you can execute a move you’ve been drilling repeatedly.
How has your transition from high school to college been?
It’s been a smooth transition because coming to Sewanee I knew a handful of people and that made me feel more comfortable. Thankfully high school prepared me well for the amount of work that is assigned.
What is your favorite Sewanee experience so far?
Being part of the Rugby team makes me feel like I’m a part of something. The guys are hilarious and fun to be around. The sport is new to me but the game is easy to pick up. It’s also a great distraction from homework and stress.
What do you love about Sewanee the most?
For the most part, everyone is nice and welcoming. Even if you don’t know someone, it’s nice to know you can say hi and it’s not a strange thing to do.
